PhotoRobot Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
This document details the PhotoRobot Controls Cloud, Cloud 2.0, API & Related Services: Version 1.0 — PhotoRobot Edition, uni-Robot Ltd., Czech Republic.
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines acceptable and unacceptable use of the PhotoRobot Services, including:
- PhotoRobot Controls Cloud
- PhotoRobot Cloud 2.0
- PhotoRobot API and integrations
- CL to Cloud synchronization
- hosting, storage and processing infrastructure
- workflow automation tools
- user accounts and communication systems
This AUP is incorporated into the Terms of Service.
All users must comply.
2. General Principles
You may use the Service only:
- for lawful purposes,
- in accordance with the Terms of Service,
- without interfering with others,
- without compromising security,
- without attempting to circumvent or abuse system functionality.
Any violation may result in account suspension or termination.
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited.
3.1. Security Violations
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems or networks
- test or probe system vulnerabilities without written permission
- bypass authentication or security controls
- distribute malware, viruses, trojans, worms or harmful code
- use robots, scripts or automated tools to overload or disrupt the Service
- perform denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) attacks
- forge headers or manipulate identifiers to disguise origin
3.2. Misuse of Infrastructure
You must not:
- make excessive or abusive API calls that degrade performance
- generate unreasonable load through automation, bots or external tools
- run unauthorized scripts or processes via Cloud 2.0
- upload large volumes of non-production or irrelevant data
- interfere with backup processes or system operations
3.3. Unauthorized Use of Robots or Firmware
You must not:
- modify, reverse engineer, or tamper with robot firmware
- attempt to use firmware outside authorized hardware
- attempt to deactivate or override embedded safety systems
- use the robots in unsafe, non-compliant or illegal contexts
3.4. Illegal or Harmful Content
You must not upload, store or distribute:
- illegal content or materials prohibited by law
- content that violates intellectual property rights
- harmful, abusive, defamatory, or deceptive content
- personal data collected unlawfully (GDPR non-compliant)
- images or videos obtained without valid consent when required
Controller is fully responsible for legal compliance of uploaded content.
3.5. Abuse of Communication Systems
You must not:
- send unsolicited or spam messages via any PhotoRobot-related system
- misuse support channels (e.g., spamming tickets)
- impersonate PhotoRobot or any third party
- submit false, fraudulent or misleading information
3.6. Circumventing Licensing or Usage Limits
You must not:
- bypass license restrictions
- share or reuse activation keys without authorization
- duplicate CL installations without proper licenses
- manipulate billing, trial limits or subscription terms
- access Cloud 2.0 without an active subscription
3.7. High-Risk or Prohibited Use Cases
PhotoRobot Services must not be used in:
- life-critical systems
- medical or emergency applications
- military or weapons systems
- environments where failure could result in injury, death or severe damage
- processing of special categories of personal data (Art. 9 GDPR) unless explicitly permitted
4. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer is responsible for:
- ensuring all Authorized Users follow this AUP
- securing login credentials and access controls
- ensuring lawful processing of personal data
- maintaining safe operating environments for Robots
- preventing misuse of the Service
Violation by any Authorized User is considered a violation by the Customer.
5. Monitoring & Enforcement
PhotoRobot may:
- monitor system logs for security and performance
- suspend or limit access if misuse is detected
- block IP addresses or API tokens associated with abuse
- require corrective steps from Customer
- terminate accounts in case of severe violations
PhotoRobot does not monitor user content except as necessary for:
- security,
- troubleshooting,
- legal compliance,
- or as instructed by Customer (per DPA).
6. Reporting Violations
Suspected violations should be reported to:

Or to:
legal@photorobot.com
PhotoRobot will investigate all reports.
7. Changes to This AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time.
Changes become effective when published on the PhotoRobot website.
